Roll: Layout and Design
Skill Set: 3D Modeling, Typography, Color Theory, Functional Layout Design, Print Design
Programs Used: Photoshop, Illustrator, Blender, InDesign

Working on Cryo was an experience unlike anything else. Our creative director Sam Shimota had a clear style vision for this game that involved designing in 3D space to create a 2D comic style look. In Sam's words:

"Jasmine Radue (Graphic Designer, by title) was responsible for implementing a consistent style across the many components of the game. Specifically, Jasmine designed the player board and ship card layouts, including modeling the 3D art for those pieces. Jasmine also created the iconography and 2D graphic design elements, handled overall typesetting, and was responsible for project and file management. Jasmine’s strong attention to detail, and her consistent, high-quality design aesthetic helped make CRYO easy to read, visually cohesive, and especially smooth to play."

In addition to the responsibilities Sam listed I also directed our marketing graphic designer on the back of box design as well as handled the punch board layout. This project was challenging and rewarding to work on. I am particularly proud of the functionality and style of the player boards as well as the iconographic work. Below are is an example of the art workflow for various components of the game. They player boards, cards, and several other components of the game were modeled fully in 3D by me and then processed and colored by the team using photoshop.
